Emergency Go! Bags

Helping residents be informed and prepared for emergencies

Emergency Go! Bags are 72 hr (3 day) emergency supply kits that meet PreparedBC guidelines for disaster readiness, including wildfire evacuations.

Through generous sponsorship the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest and Centerra Gold are making low-cost Go! Bags available to interested Mackenzie & McLeod Lake residents.

These branded, durable weatherproof bags contain essential emergency response information kits and instructions for completing the Go! Bag with personal items so that you are ready to Go! in emergency situations.

Sponsorship by the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest and Centerra Gold has made it possible to offer durable weatherproof bags at reduced cost – participants can purchase Go! Bags at less than half price. To make Go! Bags available to as many residents as possible there is a limit of one per household.

Medium Size (89 L) – for individuals and couples / $30 for participating residents

Large Size ­(142 L) – for families / $45 for participating residents

How you can participate

  1. Download a copy of our Emergency Go! Bag kit list.
  2. Gather the essential items that are highlighted in bold red font.
  3. Bring your essential items with you when you visit us at:
    1. MLMCF office in the Mackenzie Mall  – call 250-997-8155
    1. Or take a photo of yourself/your family with your essential items and submit it by email to admin@mlmcf.ca
  4. Complete the participant form & purchase your Emergency Go! Bag (one per household)
    1. Medium (89 L) Go! Bag (red)                 $30
    1. Large (142 L) Go! Bag (hi vis green)       $45
  5. Fill your Go! Bag with the remaining recommended items so that you are fully prepared to Go!
