Dan Boulianne, RPF

Dan is a Registered Professional Forester and General Manager of the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest.

Dan is a long time resident of Mackenzie arriving in 1993 after attending the University of Alberta where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Forestry.  Dan worked for Finlay Forest Industries during the formative early years of his career, achieving his registered professional forester status while benefiting from a wide range of exposure in the forest industry.  He stayed with the company for 13 years working in nearly all facets of woodland operations through the various ownership changes until just before Abitibi ceased operating in Mackenzie.  After a few years of forestry consulting Dan experienced a very productive and rewarding 9 year run with Duz Cho Logging.

In June 2017 Dan became the first full time employee of the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest, taking over the role of General Manager from Jim Atkinson who had been in this capacity on a part time contract basis.

Dan and his wife Shannon are busy raising their three children in Mackenzie where they enjoy all the offerings of this great northern community.
